Dear Adelle - thanks so much for dropping by and letting us know which scheme you support! Some very close friends of mine live in Sheffield and use the same provider ... I know they feel the same way you do : )

My vote for the vegbox awards goes to Chris & Mary Watson, the Sheffield branch of Riverswale. The veg is great, variety & value for money good, and they are always reliable, considerate & thoughtful. Thank you!

I've tried to vote 3 times on your home page for the VegBox awards. Each time it logs me off the internet immediately. Is there a fault on the link?

My vote goes to Riverford - if you can add it on from here please do.

River Nene (Riverford's sister farm) is the local farm based scheme in our area. We love receiving our fortnightly vegbox. I can check the website on a Friday afternoon which makes it easy to meal plan for the week ahead. The produce is really good value and has helped me avoid waste. Rather than getting the same old veg at the supermarket, now and again we get something different and a recipe to try new things. The children get really excited when they see Rob the veg man has been. We have been meaning to visit the farm for ages. Getting a River Nene box saves me time and money and as a busy Mum this is vital. Thanks for making life easier for me River Nene.

Riverford is, in my opinion, the best vegbox scheme operating at the moment. I have been a customer for nearly 2 years and am always pleased with quality and freshness of their produce. It is a farm based box scheme and the produce is picked from the fields one day and in the boxes the next day whereas other box schemes such as Abel and Cole is warehouse based and their produce is often a number of days old when it reaches the customer's doorstep. Keep up the good work Riverford!
